General Information

International applicants are required to submit their application at least 12 weeks (3 months) before each intake deadline. Applicants are required to complete a meet & greet form at least two weeks before their departure date. The Malaysian Immigration requires a representative from RCHE-KL to be present to escort the applicant through the Immigration Checkpoint. Applicants will not be allowed to pass through the Immigration Checkpoint if the college’s representative officer is absent.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements for Diploma

• Diploma programmes (2 years / 2 years 4 months): Minimum 3 SPM / 3 ‘O’ Level / 3 UEC credits or international high school equivalent*
• Portfolio submission OR Interview is required for local students for the following program:
  – Diploma in Fashion Design
  – Diploma in Jewellery Design
  – Diploma in Fashion Styling
  – Diploma in Creative New Media Technology
• Portfolio and Interview is required for Diploma in Interior Design (Students who pass in Art subject are exempted from both requirements)
• Portfolio is required for International students

Entry Requirements for Certificate Level

• Minimum 1 subject with credit in O-Levels/IGCSE/SPM/UEC
• Portfolio submission OR Interview is required

*For SPM, a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and History are required

English Requirements

• Certificate – IELTS 4.0 / Grade E in O-Levels / IGCSE / SPM English
• Diploma – IELTS 5.0 / Grade C in O-Levels / IGCSE / Grade C + CEFR B1 in SPM / B6 in UEC

(All classes are conducted in English. Hence, applicants who do not hold the minimum English credit will be required to sit for an English proficiency test conducted by RCHE-KL. If necessary, applicants are required to take the ESL programme which will be conducted in-house. Our ESL programme will be an intensive course over a period of 3 months per level).

For International Students

• Completed RCHE-KL Application Form obtained from the Admissions Office
• Application Fee and First Payment upon Admission (Bank Draft/Telegraphic Transfer) made payable to Raffles College of Higher Education Sdn Bhd)
• 4 passport-sized (3.5cm X 4.5cm) photographs (White background)
• Pre-entry medical examination report and x-ray. All international students are required to take the vaccines as listed in the medical form and submit the vaccination certificates
• A Health Declaration Form is required for the Student Visa application
• 2 sets of clear and legible copies of certified true copy of valid passport (all pages to be included). Passport must be valid for at least 3 years
• 2 sets of certified true copy of both original and English translated Education transcripts and Graduation Certificate (front & back)
• The result of English Language qualification (IELTS/TOEFL/CPE/CAE/PTE)
• Design portfolio (For design students only)
• 1 set of Original No Objection Certificate (NOC). (For students who are originally from Sudan and Sub-Saharan African region)
• 1 set of Original Letter of Eligibility (LOE). (For students who are originally from Iran)

Local Students

• Completed RCHE-KL Application Form
• Application Fee and first payment upon Admission (Bank Draft/Telegraphic Transfer) made payable to Raffles College of Higher Education Sdn Bhd)
• Copy of Applicant Identity Card
• Design portfolio (For design students only – if any)
• 4 passport-sized photos
• Copies of Applicant’s latest educational transcript certificates
• Applicant’s school leaving certificate

Documents Required

Applicants will be required to submit the following documents to our admissions office no later than 12 weeks prior to the term commencement to avoid any delay in the issuing of Student Visa.
